Bad news from Sperling Gardens,.by Fisher Farm...one of the historic structures has been demolished.

Added the Laurel Hill pages. I've added several new photos from April 2011 to the site; several of the gate and of the view, and one of Helen Zentz's memorial. Most of the shots on the old site were from 2002! Quite a bit can change in nine years, even at a cemetery.

Added photos for Grabow Cemetery. It's a long drive out to Gretna.

Added photos for Holy Sepulchre Sarpy/Forest City. This is even farther out than Gretna.

I've written a review of a new book about pioneer graveyards, Pioneer Cemeteries: Sculpture Gardens of the Old West, by Annette Stott, for the Fall 2009 edition of "Nebraska History."
