Fisher Farm is located at the very end of 42 Street in Bellevue, Nebraska, approximately 8600 South 42. Just keep driving south on 42 Street till you come to a dead end (no pun intended).
The farm had been owned by the Fisher family, from the mid-1800’s when Bellevue was new; the Sperling family bought it in approximately 1910 or so. I don't know if it is still owned by them, but it's still private property, so ask permission if you venture past the graveyard. The family cemetery consists of 6 or 7 headstones and sits off to the side of the house and driveway. Several of the stones are among the oldest in the Omaha/Bellevue area; Bellevue is the oldest settlement in Nebraska, being for the most part continually occupied since 1823, back when fur trading was the big business locally.
There is also a special secret about Fisher Farm that is not general knowledge.
