This obelisk (which I didn't get a complete picture of) stands right outside Fairview Cemetery, at the top of a scenic view.  It commemorates Lincoln's visit to the area, in the years before he became President. The visit had vast consequences for the Omaha/Council Bluffs area, since he later designated it as the eastern terminus of the railroad and paved the way for all the expansion that came later.
