Picture 1 - Per Dodger: Photos 7, 13 and 14 are from "Counter Punch"
and features MGM's steam
locomotive. Engine #11 is the ex-Virginia and Truckee Railroad locomotive
"Reno', which ran elegant passenger trains between Reno, Carson City and
Virginia City, Nevada from the late 1880's to mid 1930's. Many of the V&T
locos, freight cars and passenger equipment was sold in 1937(?) to the movie
studios to help raise money to keep the railroad alive. After years of
service at MGM, "Reno" was sold to Old Tucson in Arizona, where I
believe it
is still available for movie work.
