Ball Cemetery is an old, not necessarily abandoned family burial ground,
located off Highway 50 outside of Louisville. It is on private property,
and is supposedly diligently protected by the owner with a shotgun, so
I wouldn't venture out there till you've gotten permission.
I don't know anything
about the family, but a friend of my daughter, Chris Stukenholtz, went
out there one evening and took some very evocative pictures. The
pictures of this cemetery are all his.
